Mathematics

The offer is addressed to students who want to deepen their knowledge and improve skills in the area of mathematics and its applications. Students, during obligatory and elective courses, receive education in the most important branches of contemporary mathematics: complex and functional analysis, topology and nonlinear analysis, algebra and number theory, probability and statistics, differential equations. Graduates are prepared for PhD studies in mathematics and theoretical computer science, as well as they have foundations to undertake their own research in mathematics and related areas. Together with development of their ability for precise, nontrivial reasoning, to construct and analyse abstract models of various phenomena and present (in oral and written way) the results of their study and research, graduates acquire general skills desirable in jobs related to analytical methods, e.g., in economy, logistic etc.
