On June 1st, the Rector Elect, Prof. dr habil. Andrzej Sokala, handed in the nominations to the new Faculty Deans for the term 2020-2024.

From 15 to 25 May, candidates for deans of the Nicolaus Copernicus University faculties were elected. The candidate for the Dean is elected by an absolute majority of votes. For the vote to be valid, at least half of the faculty employees entitled to vote had to participate in the election meeting. The Faculty of Chemistry and the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics did not present their candidates, thus leaving the decision on the selection to the Rector. The deans in the upcoming term of office are:
